• Mission Statement

Momentum is dedicated to revolutionizing canopy piloting through customized programs and innovation. With a strong focus on expertise and safety, we elevate performance and industry standards. Our goal is to be the catalyst for positive change and advancement in the industry, driving innovation and empowering individuals and organizations

  • Team History

The idea of a camp format for dynamic canopy flocking was born in 2018 when canopy piloting competitors Matt Leonard and Max Manow decided to bring high performance canopy pilots together to share their passion of flying outside of the competition scene.

Along with Tom Baker, the first trial event called Flock and Flow then was held at Skydive Paraclete XP in North Carolina in October of 2019.

Due to the high demand and the ever growing passion for canopy flocking as well as the need for a standardized concept, Momentum Flight LLC was founded.

As demand has continued to grow since our inception, we’ve since decided to expand the cadre within Momentum and have since added several key members to the team.

Our Team

Matt Leonard

Learning every aspect of flight over the last decade has been a tremendous passion that has pushed me to accumulate over 7,000 skydives within my 14 years in the sport of skydiving. I enjoy sharing my passion through education, pushing the norms and inspiring younger generations to come.

Max Manow

With 17 years in the sport and over 9,500 skydives my passion for flying is bigger than ever. I am grateful to be able to learn and teach in various disciplines and feel honored to potentially contribute to the development of the sport.

Tom Baker

With over 14 years of experience and 14,500 skydives in varying disciplines, I simply enjoy sharing the knowledge of human flight. Challenging myself with unique projects and progressive flying every opportunity I can. Learning modern techniques from passionate flyers across the globe in all environments and disciplines

Andy Plisko

Throughout the last decade, from teaching first time jumpers, all the way to making new instructors, I’ve always shared a strong passion for canopy flight. With over 11 years in the sport and over 6,000 jumps, I still enjoy discovering new approaches and concepts with everyone no matter the discipline.

Pete Lubrano

With over 5,500 jumps and 15 years of experience, I'm passionate about the importance of teamwork and fostering a positive team environment. I always look to raise the standards and continuously push for more modern techniques in canopy piloting.

Brandon Schmidt

Over the last decade in skydiving, nothing has been more empowering and rewarding than being a coach and mentor to others that share our passion. I strive to never stop learning so that I may continue giving back to the community through education in canopy piloting

Mike Brewer

I found my passion for flight as a teenager. 12 years and 4,500 jumps later, I’m still deeply motivated by finding creative ways to push the limits of human flight, expanding my knowledge in the many realms of air sport, and by sharing that knowledge and experience with others.

Cody Vancina

I discovered my passion for canopy flight early in my teens after watching vertical records land. Growing up at a drop zone, it was clear this was my path. Now, after 13 years in the sport, I am still striving to learn and teach the intricacies of all forms of canopy flight.
